Canyon Glider

Has anybody managed to land the glider of Canyon Glider (http://forums.game-addicts.com/arcade.php?do=play&gameid=144). I've got to that point a few times but it seems no matter how slowly I trie to land I always end up in a pile on the desert dirt. :confused:

You have to go really low and start pressing that space bar not long after the countdown marker starts counting.

I just hold the spacebar down. I did, however, discover yesterday that even that is not necessary; I'm going to experiment with it a few more times (it's hard to get to the end :P) but I think just tapping it once should do the trick.
