Hi everyone! Just introducing myself! I'm Sean, one of the regular writers on the main Game Addicts site!

As well as writing games for a living (I'm one of those coding types I'm afraid), I'm also a big fan of the platform/arcade adventure genre, and am dismayed at the lack of originalty in games these days (old gaming fart!)

You'll find me playing: Katamari Damacy, Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, Prince of Persia, Shadow of the Colossus.

You'll not find me playing: Need for Speed, GTA, First Person Shooters (because I just don't have the reactions any more! :().

What type of coding do you do?

I'm not a fan of GTA, but I'm all for a nice FPS or racing game. Unless of course people consider GTA a FPS. :p

Coding wise I'm doing high-end mobile phone games (been with the company 6 months, nothing released that I've worked on yet). I've worked on PS1, PS2 (nothing published on PS2 sadly :( ) and some of the Jakks TV Games series.

I'm wondering, what's the gaming business like? Is it profitable, and do you enjoy it? Never know, something I may be looking into.

Actually that's a good question as I'm interested as well. If you had to chose between computer programming, program development, or game design/programming, which would you chose? Why would you chose game programming or why wouldn't you chose it? I'm just curious as I'm seriously considering going into the business as well.
