To mark the start of the Game Addicts forums we are going to be holding a few competitions to help get the community buzzing and growing.

Title: Most Referals

How to Win
By being the member that refers the most new members to these forums before the end February 2006

Rules
The new member must enter your Game Addicts username in the referrer field of the registration form
The new member must make at least 3 (non spammy) posts
Please do not spam email or other forums when looking for new membersPrize
The winning member will receive an Amazon gift voucher for 50 USD (or equivalent in any Amazon supported currency)

An easy way to get referals and not require them to enter your username on the signup screen is to create links with your userid
e.g. mine would be forums.game-addicts.com?referrerid=1

To find your userid use the drop down menu on your username and you'll see the link to your user profile contains a &u=x where x is your userid.

You could even put those links on signature in other forums ;)

Hehe...I figured something like this must be up. When Alex contacted me begging me to register and to be extra careful to type his name into "referrer"...lol. Well, I hope my contribution helps. :D

And I'm still working at recruiting friends from all over. I believe I'm at 8 or 9 referrals so far, and most have posted.

Hey Al, I was wondering if we could switch the prize to NewEgg.com instead of Amazon. Unless the certificate has already been purchased or something like that. It would be greatly appreciated.

I just posted a total of 50 flyers around my high school (with permission of course) and I have one posted at Cub Foods where I work. So, referrals should be increasing soon.

Yesterday marked the end of the contest, and I just got another referral last night, and plan on still making more despite the end of the contest.

I would also like to announce a new project me and two other friends are starting, and that will draw me more to the computer, and I will be more active here. I can't promise writing, I've sort of lost intrest to do it frequently, but if I for some reason get the inspiration to submit a few articles, I will. So expect that. But my forum activity is what I'm increasing.

Anyways, back on topic, so after the final tally, I'm curious to see who won! So who's the lucky ducky who gets $50 USD to newegg (or Amazon if the prize wasn't changed as requested :p)
