It's an upcoming game from Maxis that I am really looking forward to. It's an evolution version of SimCity, I guess you could say, beginning with a single cell organism and evolving to an advanced civilization and interplantary colonization.

Yea.. sounds like a lot, and when I first heard about it I was curious how they'd get all that into a game that claims ultimate customization (on choices you make to evolve your species), but a friend linked me to a video of their presentation of Spore for a video game development conference.

It's long, but its well worth it to watch. Just had to share since I'm really excited about it. Looks like release date is for next November though.

I too am very excited for this game. Awesome find, for that, I rep you.

The game is truley amazing,. You go from this tiny little spore, a very small single cell organizm, and eventually turn into a whole world, then galaxy, and even universe, ending up with 10's of thousands of different worlds made by other players in the game. Thos worlds are all asynchronous, and once downloaded to your machine are then controled by your game. It's not a real time multiplayer game.

It's just absolutly amazing, I encourage all to take the time to watch this.

As for me, I know I will be purchasing it!
