Will the PS3 come out on time?

I don't think so. Not with the current Blu-Ray situation.

Even if it does come out on time, it's going to be extremely expensive, or Sony's going to be selling it at a hefty lost.

i dont think it is.. sony's probably going to milk it a little while before releasing it, even if they fix the blu-ray stuff

It seems unlikely, but then living in the UK we always get everything last anyway, so it's no real big deal for us if it launches on time or not.

Funny though that it's the Blu-Ray drive that's causing the problem rather than Cell or RSX!
